Hearing Tests
Hearing Tests
Do you find yourself struggling to hear the TV?
Have family or friends been commenting on your hearing?
Are you straining to keep up in social situations?
If so, we’re here to help. We offer free hearing tests carried out by our experienced Audiologist. Whether your hearing loss is sudden or gradual, we’ll guide you through the process, explain the results clearly (no jargon!), and answer any questions you may have.
Our Audiologist Penny is also a highly skilled Hearing Therapist, so she can ensure you leave feeling completely reassured and knowing what your next steps could be. We take our time during appointments and give you the care you deserve.
Because Penny has worked in both the NHS and private sector, you’ll always receive honest, unbiased advice on the best path for you.
What happens in an appointment?
You’ll be welcomed by our friendly Audiologist, who will guide you through each step:
A full ear history, discussing any difficulties you’ve been experiencing
Examination of both ear canals and ear drums with our otoscope
Clear explanation of how the ears work (if appropriate)
Assessment for Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD), with advice if found
A full hearing test in one of our professional soundproof booths
Tympanometry (if appropriate), plus advice on simple techniques to improve ear function
A full discussion of your results and next steps.
