Hearing Therapy

Facts
Approximately 10 million people in the UK are affected by hearing loss — that’s 1 in 6. Of these, 6.5 million are aged 60 and over, and 3.7 million are of working age. Around 2 million people use hearing aids, and about 800,000 are severely or profoundly deaf. Many people with hearing loss also experience tinnitus. You are not alone.

About Penny Stannard
Our highly qualified Hearing Therapist, Penny Stannard, has over 20 years of experience in hearing loss and tinnitus management. Penny has supported thousands of clients in both the NHS and private practice, helping them understand their hearing challenges and continue to lead fulfilled, happy lives.

Many clients come to us after being told they have a hearing loss and feel unsure about where to turn or how to cope. Penny works with each individual to provide tailor-made therapy sessions, offering guidance, reassurance, and practical tools to manage hearing loss confidently.

Whether your hearing loss has been gradual or sudden, Penny welcomes every client. With the right support and coping strategies, you don’t need to face it alone — life can feel more manageable, empowering, and fulfilling.

What happens in an appointment?

When you arrive, Penny will warmly welcome you and begin by discussing your concerns and what you hope to achieve. She will take the time to understand your individual needs and work with you to create a personalised plan to help you feel more confident and in control.

If you’ve recently had a hearing test and would like to go through the results and explore your options, we can guide you every step of the way.

Hearing therapy sessions last 60 minutes, and you can choose how many sessions you would like. Whether it’s a single session or a series over several months, Penny will guide you through the process in our clean, comfortable clinic.

Penny’s kind and empathetic approach helps clients feel at ease, allowing you to openly share any worries or challenges. Together, you’ll explore strategies to reduce stress and make managing your hearing easier and more empowering.
