Frequently Asked Questions

Do you treat children?

Yes! All our practitioners are fully insured and highly skilled, with many seeing children regularly in the NHS. Some practitioners see children from 3 years and up. Call us to discuss your child’s specific needs.

Does Syringing/Microsuction hurt?

No — wax removal is a gentle process. Our practitioners are skilled at putting patients at ease. We recommend using oil for 3 days beforehand to soften wax, but if it’s an emergency, we have fast-acting drops on site.

Do I need to put oil/drops in my ears before my wax removal appointment?

Ideally yes, applying oil/drops for 3 days beforehand helps soften any hard wax, making the process easier and more comfortable. However, if you haven't had a chance to oil, we do have drops on site that we can administer.

My ear still doesn't feel clear after my appointment, what can I do?

Rarely, residual wax can cause a feeling of fullness. We offer a two-week free follow-up if you’re not completely happy with your results.

I have an ear infection, can I still have Microsuction done?

Yes, you can. Our registered Aural Care Practitioners can remove wax and infection safely.

We also include a 2-week free follow-up with all wax removal appointments. This option allows us to remove any initial debris, while you take any prescribed antibiotics from your doctor, and then return back to us to have the remainder safely removed — all under one price.

I can't to hear my TV or struggle to follow conversations, can you help?

Absolutely. We offer consultations and free hearing tests, encouraging family members to join if desired. Our audiologists provide calm, informative guidance with no hard selling. All have NHS experience and can advise on private or non-private hearing aids.

I have hearing aids with another provider, but I'm not happy with their service, can you help?

Yes. We can discuss your current private hearing aids and help create a package to suit your needs. We cannot take over NHS hearing aids, but we can help if you want to switch from NHS to private care.

I have had Tinnitus for years and still struggle. Can you help?

Yes. Penny, our audiologist and hearing therapist, is very knowledgeable about Tinnitus and can provide strategies to make it more manageable. She understands the challenges personally and offers empathetic, practical support.
